Desired Skills Experience and Personal Characteristics

  • 2 years of previous accounting experience, preferably in a construction environment
  • Practical knowledge of accounting theories and practices
  • Ability to handle and protect confidential information
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate prioritization, organization, and time management skills
  • Must be a team player, detail-oriented with strong computer skills and be able to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with Sage Accounting preferred
  • Willing to work 40 hours per week on a regular basis

CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR

Key Responsibilities

  • Reading and interpreting plans, specifications and addendums
  • Accurately estimate labor hours, material quantities and equipment needs, and then price accordingly for concrete, masonry, earthwork and carpentry for hard-bid projects, as well as, design-build projects
  • Solicit subcontractor/material supplier pricing for all divisions of work per project requirements
  • Be capable of competitively bidding commercial construction projects ranging in size from $500K-$5M or above

Desired Skills Experience and Personal Characteristics

  • Must be a team player, detail-oriented with strong computer skills and be able to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial estimating of both public and private projects
  • Demonstrate prioritization, organization and time management skills
  • Ability to interact with Director of Estimating, Estimating Manager, Architects, Designers and Owners
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willing to work 45+ hours per week on a regular basis

Larson-Danielson’s ability to successfully offer a conscientious turnkey solution to clients in the Design-Build arena, as well a performing General Contracting, operating as a Construction Manager and self-performing many trade packages, distinguishes Larson-Danielson as a versatile and adaptive company. Because of this versatility, Larson-Danielson continues to experience growth and is always looking for an experienced, hard working Safety Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety procedures, standards and programs; coordinate and secure emergency information, safety and government regulations, and maintain posting at jobsites
  • Develop fire protection and project evacuation places and distribute to implement at jobsites
  • Administer the SDS program, revising and updating as needed
  • Provide employee safety training as required to meet OSHA requirements
  • Responsible for maintenance and distribution of jobsite Safety Manuals and SDS books
  • Conduct weekly jobsite visits, administer an inspection program to ensure compliance and monitor progress on jobsites and company-wide
  • Keep up to date on the latest OSHA/IOSHA and other government regulations regarding safety and distribute updates to field and project management personnel; responsible for all OSHA reporting and maintenance of jobsite OSHA forms; be the first contact when OSHA inspectors arrive on jobsite
  • Responsible for the tracking, maintenance and reporting of all employee injuries, including internal and external logs and reports

  • 2+ years of experience in construction safety of both public and private projects
  • Demonstrate prioritization, organization and time management skills

Larson-Danielson is seeking a senior project manager with a decade of experience in managing multiple projects and/or large projects (over$20 million).

PROJECT ARCHITECT

The Project Architect’s primary responsibility will be to participate in the conceptual design and provide full support through the design of projects. In general, this person will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Architectural Design: Plan and design commercial buildings with guidance from Senior Architectural staff. Project size and complexity will vary from small renovation projects to large ground-up $10-20 million projects in the Northwest and North Central Indiana area.
  • Project Management: Many of the projects will involve integrated delivery systems (i.e. Design/Build, Fast-Track Construction Management, etc.). This person will need to develop a strong understanding of all project systems and will be asked to be involved in all aspects of project design development.
  • Build and develop relationships with new and existing clients to cultivate a personal portfolio.
  • Assist with Project Administration: Work with Construction Project Managers, Consultants, and other team members to review project submittals, answer requests for information and other administrative tasks.
  • Communicate With the Project Team: Maintain communication with all parties involved with a project. Open and timely communication will be a key to success.
  • Document Production: Produce drawings, details, specifications, renderings, and graphic presentations for clients and for contractors.
